With over 50 years of experience in project development, Knud- Erik has built a career in real estate, beginning as an entrepreneur in housing projects and later working as a real estate agent.
Over the last decade, he has focused on the renewable energy sector, specializing in solar power, wind energy, and biogas, with projects spanning multiple countries.
From 1993 to 1996, he collaborated with Vestas Wind Energy, the world’s largest wind turbine producer, on project development in southern Italy.
In Denmark, he designed and developed a large biogas plant in Grindsted, Jutland.
He also pioneered the development of the FEW (Food- Energy-Water) system, an advanced hydroponic Ultra Climate Greenhouse technology powered by solar and wind energy, integrated with a biogas facility.
This system ensures a continuous supply of green energy, recycles rainwater, and produces organic food, creating synergies between wastewater treatment, energy production, and sustainable agriculture.
As an inventor, Knud-Erik developed the "Spinner," a vertical, low-cost, and silent wind turbine that is virtually invisible in operation.
In addition to his business ventures, Knud-Erik co-founded Denmark’s largest rehabilitation center for alcohol and drug addiction and served as chairman of a nonprofit foundation supporting addiction recovery. They also worked within the Danish prison system.
He also assisted The Red Cross in his hometown on the board, and as an accountant.
In 2008/2009, Knud-Erik led a successful business with 26 employees, holding significant assets in real estate, bank bonds, and pension funds valued at millions of euros.
However, the global financial crisis led to the de facto bankruptcy of their bank, forcing a sale of all assets in a frozen market by spring 2009.
Nine months later, the company faced a €1.2 million deficit and no remaining assets. Today, both the business and personal finances are debt-free.
