Knud-Erik Sørensen brings more than 50 years of experience in project development and real estate, combining entrepreneurial drive with deep technical and strategic insight.
He began his career developing housing projects as an entrepreneur before working as a real estate agent. Over the past decade, his focus has shifted decisively toward the renewable energy sector, where he has worked extensively with solar power, wind energy, and biogas projects across multiple countries.
From 1993 to 1996, Knud-Erik collaborated with Vestas Wind Energy, the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturer, on wind project development in southern Italy. In Denmark, he designed a major biogas plant project in Grindsted, Jutland.
He is also the originator of the FEW (Food-Energy-Water) system—an advanced hydroponic Ultra Climate Greenhouse concept powered by solar and wind energy, currently under development in India. The FEW system integrates renewable energy production, rainwater harvesting, wastewater treatment, and organic food production into a single, circular and sustainable solution, ready to go all off grid.
As an inventor, Knud-Erik has developed the “Spinner”, a vertical, low-cost, silent wind turbine designed to be visually unobtrusive while operating efficiently in urban and rural environments.
Beyond his commercial activities, Knud-Erik has been deeply engaged in social initiatives. He co-founded a large rehabilitation center for alcohol and drug addiction in Denmark and served as chairman of a nonprofit foundation supporting recovery programs. He has also contributed to the Danish Red Cross locally, serving both on the board and as an accountant.
Between 2004 and 2009, Knud-Erik led a successful company with 26 employees and substantial assets across real estate, financial instruments, and pension funds.
Following the global financial crisis, the company was restructured and ultimately wound down.
Today, Knud-Erik’s business and personal finances are fully debt-free, and he remains actively engaged in developing innovative, sustainable projects at the intersection of energy, technology, and environmental responsibility.
